The Cocker Spaniel Club of Qld Inc generally holds two conformation show weekends each year. Historically we have held a March event - combined Championship and Open Show and then again in July each year.

The March shows, used to be in February but due to the exteme heat, and then wet weather conditions sitll in place in February each year, we now hold our shows in March.

In 2021 we are thrilled to advise that our Club has been given approval to hold 3 Championship Shows. We will have one show in March and two shows in August 2021. This is a one off approval for 2021 only to have an additional championship show - we are very grateful to DogsQld for this allowance.

In 2022 we will revert back to our allocation of two Championship shows and one Open show.

The Cocker Spaniel sister Clubs undertook a sharing of information exercise in 2019 and compiled an updated Breed Specialists Judging List and revisited the document again in 2020 and the current document for reference is available here for download (updated October 2022).

The Cocker Spaniel Club of Qld has a guideline for engaging the judges from the breed specialist list of judges that our Club has compiled for our Championship Shows available for reference here.

To be listed on this document a Judge needs to have owned, or exhibited or bred the Breed, or had a close involvement in the breed for many years - some Judges listed have no bred a litter in their own right but have grown up with the breed as part of their legacy and understand the virtues and have a passion for our breed.
